The winners have been announced in the Jersey Festival of Words Writing Competition sponsored by Oakglen Wealth.

The competition is held annually as part of the local festival and is sponsored by Oakglen Wealth and the Jersey Evening Post (JEP). Categories spanned poetry, flash fiction and short stories.
Oakglen Wealth’s Investment Director William Lamond said: “The calibre of entries was exceptional, they were a pleasure to read and I enjoyed the wonderful array of literature. We are exceptionally lucky to have such talented individuals on the island.”
“Oakglen Wealth was delighted to sponsor the competition as well as Poet Laureate Simon Armitage’s visit. The evening with Simon was very enjoyable and well received. The Festival attracted record entries and ticket sales which is fantastic.”
The Festival of Words Writing Competition winners received their prizes and certificates in a special ceremony at the Arts Centre at the end of the festival.
The panel of judges, comprised of Claire Lilley, Natalie Saturnia, JEP reporter Kelly Frost and poet Traci O’Dea.
