Tom is a student at the University of Exeter currently undertaking a one-year placement with Oakglen Wealth to gain professional experience in the investment management industry. He is currently on track to obtain a First Class Honours degree in BSc Economics and Politics, having studied modules including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and the Economics of Financial Crises. With a strong interest in the relationship between the macroeconomic climate and investment decisions, Tom aims to deepen his understanding of financial metrics used in company analysis while further developing his skills in the practical implementation of Excel and Bloomberg. This placement experience is enabling him to build a strong foundation for a future career within investment research or portfolio management, while also strengthening his client relationship skills.
